Colonel Harry Thomas Greschel

December 05, 2012
Harry has always played a major role in my life. The first time I met Harry I was scared to death. Shortly after I joined the KYANG I accidentally parked in his parking space. All's I knew was the Colonel was furious!! Imagine that, Harry furious. From that day on he has been instrumental in my life. I have so many wonderful memories of Harry as my boss, friend, father-in-law, grandfather, and family to the end. I am truly blessed to be included in such a wonderful family. Edith I hope you know how special you are, you are truly a gift to our lives. Harry lives on through your sons, grandson, your memories and stories. He is missed each and every day.
You are always in my thoughts and prayers. Love Always, Terri

Mr. Greschel, thanks for the memories. Corny but heartfelt. Your comments aboout cutting wheat in Kansas... when you were at Western... in the Valley high history class prompted Richard Arnold and I to go to Dodge City to cut wheat. Just the mention of your experience in America's 'bread basket' made for a wonderful experience for Richard and I in the summer of our Valley junior year, RIP. Proctor Sherwood Burress, Lexington, KY

Mr. Greschel was not the typical Coach. He was a gentleman and a wonderful teacher.

I called him "Uncle" Harry. Though we were not related, he was that close to our family that he was my "Uncle" You will be greatly missed Uncle Harry.
