Curly was always a man to be counted on. I remember as a youngster when my Dad, Charlie Hodges, was out of town working. Curly was my mom's "back up." I knew that we could always call him and he would be there to help out. Ruth and Charlie counted as one of their best experiences a month in Florida with Curly. They laughed about making a game out of hunting the best and cheapest buffet each day. Curly knew how to find the good food and fun venues! My folks cherished all the Shriner events shared with Curly; the balls, the circus. His tireless charity work for the Shriner's Hospitals benefited so many children and their families. Even in his older days, he put out the effort. He ignored his own pain to make it better for others. Bravo Curly. A life well lived, you made your mark on this World. You will be missed. Our sympathy goes with his family and friends.
We will all miss Curly. All that knew him loved him. Best story teller. Best friend to Curt and Sally. We were all lucky to have known him. He was like an uncle to our family. Our condolences go to his family.
