On behalf of the United States Submarine Veterans (USSVI), we offer our sincere condolences to Bradley, Suzanne, and Ruth all of Howard's family and friends as you grieve his passing. May God whisper peace into your hearts and comfort and heal them. We are grateful for Howard's service to our country and to the U.S. Submarine Service during WWII. To our friend of the “Phin” we say, "May you rest in peace and may God bless your loved ones who remain. Thank you for your service to our country." -- Rev. Ray Fritz, National Chaplain United States Submarine Veterans, USSVI.
While I did not have the honor of knowing or serving with Mr. Gould, he is a navy and submarine brother. Ironically enough I was just in Rochester, Minnesota this past week for the USSVI National Convention. I flew in and out of Minneapolis where Mr. Gould grew up. This was my first time in the state. Thank you for your service to your country sir, and now sailor you have the eternal fair winds and following seas you have richly earned. We send our condolences to his son Bradley and daughter Suzanne, sister Ruth and all of his grandchildren, as well as other family and friends.
