I have nothing but good memories of my dear friend Howard. On the water either fishing or in the canoe hunting ducks and geese. He always had a special twinkle in his eyes and goodness in his heart. We would sit and visit about so many things and it would always end with a laugh or a hug! This world is a sadder place for all of us with Howard not in it. God bless his wife Bobbie and all of his family and I deeply share in your sorrow.
Howard was one of my favoritest people in the world. He will be sorely missed by so many. He started out as a client, but quickly became a friend, as did his lovely bride, Barb. I'm happy he's with his Lord and Savior, and that he went in a "good" way, but I'm sure going to miss him. We learned at one of our first visits that he was a cousin to a dear old friend of ours, Al Yates. It came up because Tommy & I had lived most of our married lives in Delavan, Lake Geneva and Burlington, near Howard & Barb's "stomping ground." One of those "small world" things up here in the northwoods. We know how commonplace that is, eh?
Barb, you and your children are on our prayer list, hoping God will bring you comfort and peace.
" I remember Howard as a happy person. Father to my friends and nieghbors, laurie, Diane, and Danny. We would ride our bikes or walk to thier farm from ours, to play life was easy then (we thought) we would play in the creek and fish in our own crazy ways. He would stop by and check on us. I have lots of good memories of Howard. He was our neighbor just down the road. He had an Oliver tractor and we had Massey Harris tractors. I was given beagle pups fron his litters. Just what a growing boy needs. I remember him as being old at 28. I was 14 at the time. Howard and Dad and I had many good hunts together while I was growing up. I remember Howard as always laughing about something. Fun to be around. He and Dad played horse shoes until way after dark and my bedtime. I'm glad Carla abnd I stopped to see him a few years ago as we were traveling through. Lots of good memories. Thanks Howard.
