Steven,Bruce, and family--
So good to see all these beautiful pictures of Jack with his beloved family and friends. It's still difficult to believe Jack is no longer with us--he was such a force and so full of life. He was an important influence in my life and a dear friend.
I worked for Mr. Boeko in one of my first jobs in New Jersey. He was always such a gracious man. So sorry for your loss.
Dear Boeko family.
My name is Aharon Shafir, I am the cousin of Jack, My father was the brother of Jack Mother. I am living in Israel. In the early 20th century my papants came from Ukrain to Israel, while Jack parants went to Calgary, Canada. My parants had close connection with Jack family. I have in my home the same picture as in the website of Jack riding on the horse.
We were terribly shocked to hear the very bad news about Jack lose.
We loved him very much. We were in contact with him all the years.
He even visited our house in Israel several times. During one of his visits we took him for a journey to Jerusalem.
He loved the trip and Jerusalem very much. He was a true Zionist.
Hope to hear only good news.
Lea and Aharon Shafir and all our family in Israel.
A nessage of much sadness. I will always remember my Amigo friend Jack. The great times we had in the old neighborhood.
