Jack was a dear friend to our family. My parents and grandparents knew him well. He will be missed much.

This loving and kindred spirit will be missed. Many times Jack was like a warming fire in a fireplace after coming in from the cold. Jack's interview technique was that of a grandfather. Few would lie or argue with this gentle man. He was gifted with his interpretation of the evidence. He would at times share his thoughts on his service to this country and offer his advice to those learning and share his pride in his family. Jack was a strong role model for younger officers reflecting values and having a unwavering position on equality and love for family. He was an example of physical strength in the weight room. He shared his artistic talents with his doodling when deep in thought. His desk pads were his canvas. Jack always held high standards for his professional performance. His only shortcoming was his love for chocolate cupcakes.
With great respect Jack you left your mark on me and I will greatly miss you friend.

Cindy, your dad will be missed by all that had the honor to know him. I'm a better person because of having known him. I remember us having fun with the sirens and at Lake Tomahawk in the summer. I will always think of his smile, sparkling eyes and kind voice. Beth (David) Ritchie
