Some memories will never be forgotten. Bill remembers you at Pier 36 Marina when you went with Sarge. He still remembers the visits and talks he had with you at your home. Nothing, but respect will be in our memories. We will keep an eye on Yvonne and help her every chance we are given. Jack you will be truly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing you. We want to thank for the service you gave to this Country, your community, friends, and family. You truly were a loving man, not a bad bone in your body, and a great smile. Farewell Jack until are paths cross again.
Thank you for your military service, your honor, valor and bravery. Thank you for your continued commitment to the military and the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
For Jackie's family and loved ones: Thank you for your sacrifices and support which allowed him to serve. You honor him.
As a friend: Thanks Jackie for your friendship and letting me be a friend. It has been an honor and a pleasure.
As you cross the bar on your journey through eternity, may you have calm seas and following winds. I hope to have the good fortune to meet you again on that journey. Perhaps we can again share a few war stories.
Yvonne and Shields Family: My sincere sympathy in the loss of a great soldier. There are so many memories of our husbands from West Virginia serving together far and near with the 62d Engineers. They supervised the building of fish ponds, parking lots, and even Clear Creek Golf Course at Fort Hood.
