My heart goes out to Dean and her family. I went to school with Dean at FPD and spent a lot of time at the Dorsey's during our school days. My thoughts are with you all.

Doc Dorsey was a wonderful boss and mentor to So many neighborhood children who lived out in North Macon and worked at Dorseys Drugs,I was one of his kids there and He made all our childlhoods better by hiring us and taking us under his wing. Some of my very happiest times were of working there with Mrs Golden after school and on weekends and when I was off I was still there at the soda fountain having a blast with all his regulars that came in almost daily for all the yummy ice cream treats. He made life for us better, made us feel special and We all loved him very much,Such a great and wonderfully funny individual,Im So very sorry for your loss, there is None like him,Much Love,Sharon King Raines

I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Dorsey's death. My Mother,Dot Carey, worked at Hogg's drugstore for years.I would walk to the store after school at Weir until she got off work. He certainly put up with a lot from all of us kids and teenagers. He was always the same when and wherever you saw him. Lots of great memories of him. I know he will be missed by many. Thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

I am so sorry to hear of Dr. D's passing. He was so special to my family. He would tease Mother relentlessly and she fell for it every time, but I know he loved her as much as she loved him. My children really enjoyed it when we returned to Macon and went to the drugstore. Wish I had know you were in Nashville as my son lives in Brentwood. Oddly enough I now have a great-grandson named Hollis. This is the end of an era. My love and condolences to you all.

Dr. Dorsey was always a pleasure to see when picking up a presciption. I remember at neiborhood Christmas party he and his wife and my wife and I were attending in Northwoods Subdivision. My wife's ashma was triggered by someone smoking a pipe. Dr. Dorsey told us to follow him down to Powell's where he refilled my wife perscription that night after the store had been closed. He went above and beyond what he had to do and we always greatly appreciated his kindness. He is in our prayers.
