He was a good man and will be missed
Ted was one of my high school teachers and a friends of my family's for many years. He'll be well remembered for all his good works.
I was in Mr Haire's Business Math class back in the 50's at Redwood. I struggled with the class, Mr Haire was so kind and worked with me after class, and I am sure many times he thought "how can this girl be so stupid". But he didn't give up and slowly I begin to get it....as a result of his influence I had a 20 year business as an Insurance Agent where I worked with numbers every day. I loved my job and always thought "Thank you Mr. Haire". He had a great impact on my life and taught me that I could do things I probably would never have done. I met him at a grocery store a couple of years ago and was able to tell him what I was doing and it was because of him. He laughed and said "I knew you had it, I just had to figure out how to get it out!" What a great teacher and man. I will always be greatful for the direction he gave me. Thank you, Mr. Haire.
Ted you will always be in our hearts, you & Norma welcome our family 25 years ago. You were the best christian example.
Mr. Haire was my teacher my freshman year in high school when I was a frightened, shy girl from a little country school. He was so kind and took me under his wing as I am sure he did many, many others. I wish I had been able to tell him how much his kindness meant to me. Blessings to his family.
