Jeanne Riesterer

Dear Riesterers: Though I never had the honor of meeting you, please know that your mother continuously reported proud stories of you all to us teachers here in Anchor Bay. Jeanne was a mentor extraordinaire. Resourceful- look it up in the dictionary, your Mom's picture is there. She was so honored to be invited to a launching at NASA- on the VIP list, had an educational and enjoyable trip. She loved her town of Roseville- best thing about her mayor position was marrying couples- oh how she delighted in that! She found out my aunt and uncle in Flint were married 65 years- and don't you know she made sure to send them an official congrats from Roseville! She was with me in my first 5 years of teaching- and I am so grateful that she was there to show me "how". How to deliver in spite of the odds against you from all directions. You have your legacy, Riesterers- now go out there and continue enjoying your own lives, while being just like her- helping to make all of our lives better, too! I thank God for giving us Jeanne! I miss you Gammy. Tomorrow's the first birthday you'll spend with Grandpa Joe in 35 years. I can't imagine how happy you are, even if life here is still rough without you. I love you. Happy Birthday <3

To the entire Riesterer family. our deepest sympathies to all of you. She was a very smart and special lady that I will never forget. I will always have fond memories of the whole family. May your mom rest in peace and may all of you find comfort that she is at rest with your dad.

I knew her as Mayor. She was a pleasant lady and extremely sincere about her responsibilities. My prayers are with the family.

My prayers are with all in the passing of your mom. When my brother Michael and I moved to Mesle Street in Roseville from New York, the Riesterer family was very kind to us. We have very fond memories of that time and know that she is with the Lord. God Bless all of you.
