I had my first flight in a small plane with Uncle John. While he was taxiing for take-off, he said to me 'Watch the twelves!'. It took me a few seconds to understand that my feet pushing on the pedals that control the brakes and rudder.
I remember Uncle John always being kind and considerate of others.
One of my favorite memories is of flying with Uncle John T. when I was a very young girl, maybe 6 years old. He let me hold the controls and had me absolutely convinced I was flying the plane.
Fly away, Uncle John T. You've earned your Heavenly wings.
Aunt Catherine, I am so sorry to hear of Uncle John's passing. He was a good man. I loved to hear his various stories, when you and he would come home to Ohio, for visits. I am grateful that I got to see him, when I visited you this past summer. All my sympathy and love to you. --Your nephew, Jerry McHenry
Catherine, I always enjoyed getting together with you and John. And I liked going shooting and to gun shows with John and Robert. And we lawyered a little sometimes. We will all miss him but it was a blessing knowing John. May God bless and comfort you as we all share your loss.
