John J. Hudecek 1933 - 2014

John J. Hudecek

May 28, 2014
Dear MaryAnn, Ed, Karla, Kellie, and Eric -- I have had the hardest time accepting John's passing and can only imagine your loss. "Uncle John" has an amazing spirit -- I keep this in present tense because I see it in each of you and I have a part of it in my own self. Each of our family visits was such a special time in my life. When I think about those whom have shaped me most, you -- and John-- are among them. We are all better people for knowing John and living with him-- and now, through him. He has blessed the lives of so many. He also taught me how to live life in a joyfully pronounced way, no matter what kind of darkness seemed to be around. He was complex and he handled complexity, too. This beautiful mix of a person is how I will forever remember "Uncle John." All of my Love to each of you, Lori

Mary Ann.... I was saddened to hear of John's death. You and your family have my deepest sympathy. I so enjoyed working with him as I helped sell the home back here in Protivin. It was a privilege getting to know him. What a joy he was. I will always remember him with a smile that shined and lit up his face and those around him. My deepest sympathy. Mr. Hudecek was a wonderful teacher and friend to both our daughters. They both remember him fondly. I remember him for the big smile that was always on his face. What a background our Mr. Hudecek had. He was one in a million in a million different ways. What a kind and humble man. I wish our family could have known him better. Thanks to his family for sharing him with all of us.
You were indeed priviledged to have had him so many years. Many God blesses to his family and may he rest in peace.
