Please know that you all will be in our thoughts and prayers as you go through this difficult time without your loved one. Mr. John was a wonderful man and will truly be missed by all. May God bless you all!

I did not have the pleasure of knowing this gentleman, but I work with one of the most thoughtful, generous, sweetest ladies, Becky Coley. In her grief recently I could see clearly she was just heartbroken - this tells me that this man was truly special. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the people touched by this.

I met John Swain back in the 60's and 70's when I spent nights in Williamston at the Ross Motel dining at the Town & Country Restaurant where I met John, Bud, Judge Bill Tetterson, Bill Spivey and many other Masonic brothers. Being with him was always a highlight during my stays in Williamston.
My deepest condolences to Ruth and the family. Bob L Holt, Winterville, NC
