Thinking of you all.. So sorry, we just heard.
John was a special man, they don't make them like that anymore, sadly.

Hugs and love to Katherine and family!
There are so many ways to measure a life. John invested his life and love in growing his ever increasing family of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In order to honor his grandparents, Tom and Katherine, their grandson Tom chose to turn his own wedding day into a celebration of his grandparents' 70th wedding anniversary. It is heartwarming, uplifting, and unusual to see this type of love and respect bridging multiple generations. There is something very special about watching a 93 year old man get down on the floor to play with his great-granddaughter, knowing all the while others will have to help him get up from the floor. Congratulations on a life well spent, and you will be missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are you. Bill and I feel honored to have known him. Our most cherished memory of him was watching him play with Ava and seeing the joy in his eyes. Therefore, we have made a donation in his honor to St Jude's Hospital for children
