I was very sorry to hear about John's passing. I knew John when they lived on Patterson Park Ave and I use to come on Sat. mornings and scrub their marble steps. Rest in peace John.
Mr. John was adored by the kids at Fullerton. He truly loved kids and that was reflected in his smile and his silly sense of humor. He and I would sing some "oldies" and dance when I would pick up my first graders and the kids would just giggle and laugh. He will truly be missed and my life is a little bit richer for having known him.
I will remember fondly, talking to Mr. John when he worked in the Fullerton cafeteria. He had much in common with my husband, who also was a city police officer and a former Marine. Mr. John told such great stories. I so enjoyed his kidding around with my second graders, as they waited in the cafeteria line, and he showed a genuine fondness for them. I'll miss him.
Mr. John was such a kind man. I always enjoyed talking with him when I picked my students up from the Fullerton cafeteria. He had a wonderful sense of humor and really cared about the children. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayer go out to his family at this sad time. Kimberly Munchel
