Today, while my computer system was down at work, I decided to look up names of persons who meant so much to me during my life but with whom I had lost touch.
Jon's was the first name I looked up and found this website.
Jon and I met in the mid 80's when both of us were going through a 'rough patch'. My birthday is 9/28/61. That connection helped bound our friendship. His strength and laughter helped me make it through. His persistance in believing that I was a worthwhile person, no matter what my situation was at this time, was (I believed) more than I deserved.
He was right! What I was did NOT have to define my entire life. I have been married to a wonderful man for 25 years and have two wonderful children and three grandchildren.
I am so sorry to hear of Jon's passing and will be ashamed that I did not try harder to keep him in my life.
I too will miss him every day.
Jon you will never be forgotten, you will live in our hearts forever.
It was a real blessing to have had a "Bro" like you even though it was a short time. Enjoyed the times we shared as me being your "sis" - the fun we had on the "parent" outtings - I miss your laughter and the big bucket of pop corn at the movies. Thanks for letting me know you Jon ....
We were very sorry to learn of Jon's passing; all too soon . I recall coaching my first team, the Collette Raider's 6th Grade Basketball, where little Jon was one of our most energetic and alert players. We had remained friends these 42 plus years later. Our prayers go out to Mrs. Jacobs and Jeff, Vicki and their family at the passing of Jon, whom as I write this we are certain is happily singing the Lord's praises with his dad and his little sister.

Jon has touched so many lives including mine. I want to send a big hug to the friends and family that that have reminded me of just how important our relationships are and how one person (like Jon) can bring together such a caring community of people to accomplish anything.
