I miss you Grandma.

The last time we hugged you told me to call you to give you updates every once in a while. Well, here's a quick update for you.

I just finally got settled in my new apartment in Thousand Oaks, CA with Dave.

I was at Whole Foods and had coleslaw and it reminded me of you, all full of vinegar :) Seems like everywhere I go actually, I am reminded of you in some way shape or form.

You will be in my heart forever. Until we meet up again in heaven, I will continue to wear your necklace in memory of you. I love you!

Momma,
I miss the comfort of knowing you were always just a phone call away...even though you rarely kept your cell phone with you like dad was forever telling you to do....

On the Wings of a snow white dove......... now this was one woman of substance and grace, principaled , caring , practical, no nonsence, funny, engaging, knew how to sort things out and find a middle path. Karon was my first contact in Bullhad City in 1998 ... we met at the Arizona Main Street meeting at the chamber...... she worked with me to bring experts and good thinking to the citizens of Bullhead about developing the Colorado River waterfront which we both agreed were and still are the most valuable pieces, if not congruant, of land in the region and the state , short of the Grand Canyon....Not mentioned as her many activities was her being a founding member of the Laughlin Ranch Sustainble Development Council , the first in the country started by David Lords.
We spent many a day traveling to Phoenix to attend meeting on that council, but always interesting conversation on the trip, short lived as the council was with the economic downturn. ........ we shared the same middle name .... she gave me my favorite ring from her Fharrah Faucet collection at the pawn shop, which I adored going to every chance I got from when it was BUBBAS to the one now that is the canoe store....what great photos and in each you can definately see that GLEE in her face,,,,,,I remember the story she told about being in the Alaskan earthquake way back when and stories about the kids and how many she had..she told me of her love for he husband in some tender detail and said interms of the many children that he had to just pass by the bedroom door and she was pregnant........ All done now dear heart.. I'm sure you had a warm welcome when you arrived home Rest in heavenly peace.
Amen
