I am very happy I talked to jake while he was in the hospital and was able to tell him how much we all love him. To tell him " Sawadi Ca " What a gift from God. Jake entered our family and brought a unique goodness gentleness genuineness true kindness selflessness JOY springing from a heart of gold. Yes infectious laughter with smiling eyes also sprung from his heart his caring his love of others. He is our example of how to live life with a loving and caring heart how to push toward success with hard diligent work not taking short cuts putting everything you have into your endeavor and work. He is a model of reaching forward with consideration and respect of others. He lived the golden rule, treating others as he would want to be treated. Jake is an inspiration to me to love care and appreciate those put in our lives and to work tirelessly to fulfill duties and maintain a genuine smile and loving laughter.

Jake entered our lives when we met him at Rama in Baton Rouge where he was a waiter while a student at LSU. My husband and brother Stephen and I took my Mother Joyce Landry out to dinner for her birthday she so loved Thai Food and So Did we, My Husband also is native Thai! In we walk to our special place..., where my husband and I had our first date out to eat,and up to our table walk with that infectious smile and love filled laugh JAKE! Of course we thoroughly enjoyed the dinner and the ambiance but now we are blessed with Jake who enters our lives Thank You God. What a gift to our family is Jake and what an impact he left with us a shining example of treating others as you want to be treated living the golden rule.. Jake truly was golden.

I remember ice skating with jake at the BR Centraplex and I remember the fun and the joy and smiles.. They say Thailand is the land of smiles,,,though true I lived there,,,,Jakes smile was genuine and cultivated from the heart from what is real authentic unconditional. Kinda corny but Ill say it I remember while skating we chatted and I remember mentioning to him how important my faith is how it has always been my guiding ship. I just remember his Loving response and how other centered he was. Jake shined brightly with his gentleness and politeness and considerate ways.

Stephen and Jake had several get togethers and both were utmost hospitable. Always generous and always awesome food and some how the white tornado always had the house impeccable.. Jake seemed to put much effort at doing his work so well no short cuts just perfect work ethic because his work and successes came from that wonderful heart we came to love.
When we moved our family to Thailand I would video Chat we steve and Jake from Pattaya and how cool is that memory. How awesome. The Thai blessing which came to our family both My Wonderful Husband and our my first date with

Jake always went with Stephen to visit our mother in her retirement home. There were dogs that lived on her floor that kept the residents company. Jake left dog biscuits in my mom's apartment so that whenever he came over he could give the dogs treats.
Jake was the only person in our family who was never put on my mom's Bad List. Jake was always smiling and happy and my mom always smiled when he was around She really enjoyed his visits.
Several years ago when my mom was still living in Baton Rouge, Jake always made a point of visiting her when he was in town visiting his mother. sisters & brother. He took the time to have lunch with her or visit her at home and he made her feel very special.
When I was in Colorado visiting my mom, I stayed with Jake & Stephen and I enjoyed their routine morning and evening walks with Leo & Riley. It was usally very cold and I wore a coat, hat & gloves but Jake was comfortable in shorts.
Jake loved Leo & Riley a lot and he brought home Rotisserie Chickens for them to eat at least a couple of times a week. Leo & Riley always ate better than most of the US Population
I have known Jake for about 20 years and he has been an important part of our family. We have all loved Jake very much and we will all miss his smile and laugh. We all have wonderful memories of Jake & those memories will be with us forever

Staying with Jake and Steve in Colorado a couple years ago. Sean was with Steve in the Man Cave. I was with Jake cooking dinner. Jake asked me how my family was. I was really taken aback. I said, "what do you mean?" He said, "we always talk about my family and I was wondering about yours".
Needless to say, no man has ever asked me about my family before. It was so funny and sweet. That was the most thoughtful and generous discussion.
Another time at Marli's house, Easter. Jake was so excited for the easter egg hunt with all the children.
I think that same visit to Marli's house he and I went around and had him take a picture of him with everyone else, we were laughing so hard. He has that funny laugh, such a Jake laugh. Love that guy.
