To Larry, and all my cousins. My mom and your mom are cousins. Back to the Basinger side. I can still remember when both of our families used to go camping in the summer at Kings Canyon/Sequoia National park. I think it was between 1972 and 1976. We went several years in a row. Larry was a teenager, but was so mature for his age. He liked to make his own camp site on the side of the hill, and would go there at night. Me and Tina would try to sit around his camp fire, but I was scared, it was too far away from our parents. I thought bears were going to come around. But Larry was so into nature and loved the whole experience. He could fix things, and embraced the raw nature. Found beauty and purpose for everything. I am sure that he will be sorely missed. My family has been thinking about all of you, praying that you can find the strength from God to get past this, that he will give you all some peace. Love to you all. And a special shout out to Tina, stay strong, I am sure it is hard to lose a big brother.

May his family and friends find peace and understanding in the loss of a great person, husband, father, and friend. Long live his memory, and the good times we all shared.

I have fond memories of Larry and I playing guitar at family sit down gatherings and learning a thing or two from Larry. He was patient trying to teach me songs and he was also patient when I was trying to teach him something he already knew. He was a very gentle man and although these memories are maybe 30 years old I cherish these memories and always will. My heart goes out to all of the Bowes Family and to all of his friends. I know he had a lot of friends and that just proves what kind of person Larry was... a friend to all who met him. He will be missed.
