Larry, I just found out about your passing. I had asked some our friends if they had seen you lately. I felt so sorry to learn of your passing. I know though that you are in a wonderful placed and are with your Mother and Father. I'll see you later.
I was fortunate enough to take care of Mr. Orth in November of 2013. In just a matter of 2 days he touched my life. It's amazing how you can meet someone and know there is something special about this person. Reading all the other comments confirms that it's not only my life he touched but several others. He told me how he loved teaching for a living and he poured his heart into helping students be successful. We have lost a great man, but know we are all fortunate to have crossed paths with Mr. Orth. Rest in Peace.
He did part of his student teaching in my Latin class at Reitz in 1967 or so. I remember him after all of these years as a kind and considerate teacher.

I was blessed to have him as my Latin teacher in high school. My sincere sympathy to all the family.
