Wanda

I would like to express my condolences for the loss of your father. We lost Dad last year so I certainly know what you are going through. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

New Year's at the Franklin's!! That's just what we expected to do and enjoyed doing every year growing up! Even in these later years, Layton has been so gracious to welcome my dad, Irvin Wood, into his home. Thanks for calling him to let him know, Wanda. So sorry for your family's loss. Your mom was a good friend to mom, as well.

Wanda, I am sad for you, Steve and your families as you go through the process of saying goodbye to your dad. I was pleased to have met your dad at some Godwin events, and to have shared his birthday. I know how much you loved your daddy and how much you will miss him. Please let me know if I can help you in any way.

Layton was a wonderful father-in-law and grandfather to our children. My son, Paul, always said "Papa was the man!" He had a kind and generous spirit. We will all miss him very much. Love, Debra
