Leroy Bodemann

"Give the ball to Leroy!" That familiar phrase was yelled in Kyle field many times from Dad's Aggie roommate, Stone. I'm praying Dad has the best heavenly stadium seat for every Aggie game. He loved his family and his alma mater. It was a joy to share his passion with my husband and children. The brainwashing may be working, because we named our first son Kyle and he told his grandfather he wanted to be a Texas Aggie engineer. I know dad is still smiling. Thank you dad for all the loving experiences you gave me.

Dad was a great storyteller primarily because of a truly great memory. He could recall in detail not only past events but precisely when they occurred. Growing up during the depression he learned about hardwork, being frugal and service to others. When it comes to service for family, for country for his church and his community he had few equals. He tuaght me those values along with a love of sports, travel, history and patriotism. I will miss him so very much, I love you dad.

My dad was a diehard sports fan & truly bled maroon. My roommates used to love for him to just show up out of the blue due to the fact he was always bearing gifts!
Dad was a family man, hard worker, thrifty, & loved God. He was my rock! I am so very proud of his ability to never give up. What a fighter.
Dad took care of my mom always. He provided her with everything she needed & more. I thank him for loving her.
John, Theresa, Ed. Jim, Abby, Danielle, Kyle, Sara, & Opal will all cherish our fun times together in Aggieland. Gig'em dad.

Our deepest condolences to the family. We had the pleasure of enjoying him for a short time. But my girls were very fond of him and Mrs. Gloria.

Leroy was always a pleasure to work with at Gulf States, but it was after retirement that I really began to appreciate what a class-act he really was. Charlie and I always looked forward to visiting with him and his Family in the Letterman's Lounge before every Aggie Football game. Sincere condolences to his Family; he will be truly missed.
