Uncle Lewis was truly a gentleman in every sense of the word. His kindness and love will live in my heart forever. Rest in peace, sweet Uncle.
Uncle Lewis was the most kind, considerate and gentle man I have ever known. A man without a mean or judgmental bone in his body who was always willing to help anyone in need. The world is better for having had him in it and earth's loss is heaven's gain. Our prayers are with those of us he left behind. Glenn and Betty Price (Slidell, LA)
You all will be in our prayers and thoughts.
The Cherry Family
Remembering today a dear friend of our family and a great example of a Godly servant, faithful husband, loving father, loyal friend and true Southern gentleman. Lewis Appleby was one of the most gentle souls I have ever known. His blue eyes sparkled with kindness and love as he seemingly smiled all the days of his life. I don't know one mark against his name or character and the Fasts loved him dearly. He was a mentor to Billy and a shepherd for us all. Daren and Shelly, you know how greatly you were loved by your Dad and the joy you brought him all of his days. Jacob and Morgan, there were no grandchildren more cherished or welcomed but I suspect you know that already! Mike, you like Billy were adopted in a long time ago and Mr. App surely looked on you as a son. Mrs. Appleby, you were his true soul mate and better half. Praying and loving you all in this sorrowful celebration of a life well lived by a selfless man as he rests in the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!!!
