Peggy was our neighbour at Nicola Lake for many years. We have many fond memories of the times we spent with her, Al and family. Luckily we did visit her on our last trip through Kamloops. We give our heartfelt condolences to the family.

As an old friend of Peggy's, and one of those who travelled to Europe with her after university and stayed to work in London, it has been my good fortune to have enjoyed her friendship for all these years. Her enthusiasm, love of adventure, enjoyment of travel, and particularly her dedication to showing through her leadership the important role of arts in culture in serving the community, will be remembered. I will miss her greatly. Bon voyage!

Peggy, Don and I enjoyed many hours on Peggy's deck with a drink and plate of her famous deviled eggs, comparing notes on some of the world's most thorny, seemingly intractable issues, and scheming about where our upcoming travels would take us. I always marveled at her memory of events, her physical stamina and her live-life-to-its-fullest approach. Reading her obituary sheds a lot of light on her vast knowledge of the world and her interest in its inner workings. She was a great friend to Don and I, a surrogate mom to me in Kamloops and I will miss her greatly – her absence will be felt by many for a long, long time. I wish I was there to farewell her but my thoughts are very much with all of you. With love and my deepest condolences, Kate xxxx

Peggy was a mentor to me in my early political days. It started with the Western Canada Theatre, when I first became a member of the board. I learned a lot from her. Not only was she political astute, she was a gracious person, dedicated to the arts. I will never forget her contribution to my life.
