Warm memories of a spirited woman. It was a privilege to have seen Marian in action directing a Scout camp many years ago. In more recent years, Marian thoughtfully remembered our young (faraway) daughter each holiday season.
I remember the visit my father and I made to Marian and her mother when I was about twelve. Marian took time off from work to show me the sights of New York City. I was very proud of my sophisticated cousin who knew her way around such an impressive city and who could walk onto an escalator without watching her feet.
We are sadden by Marian's passing. My husband and I enjoyed our visits to Harrogate in years past. Every year I would make a special Christmas craft for her, some of them pretty wild. We will miss her.
Our family will miss our cousin Marian. She had a deep love of birds and nature, frequently writing us notes about the wildlife and flowers found on our property. She compared our experiences with those she had at Mohonk House, a favorite place for Marian.
We were very sorry to hear of Marian's passing. We were just talking about her at our cookie exchange on Sunday, as she was a long time member of our organization, the Northern NJ Alumnae Chapter of Delta Delta Delta. Our condolences to you; she will be missed.
