Martha Marie Hymel (Dimmette)
Whenever I visited Anne at her mother's house, Marie was always a gracious and welcoming hostess. She and Henry both had much in common and enjoyed each other. They loved to travel. Together and individually, they certainly had lives well led! My condolences to both families.
My thoughts and prayers are with y'all during this time.
Dear Anne, Christine, and Thomas,
I've looked your mom's pictures over more than once and plan to look again. What a beautiful person she was! I am so very, very sorry for your loss and my heart truly "feels" your grief. My memories of "Aunt Martha" are so wonderful. I remember Vermont and the great times we had. Also, how enjoyable our trip was when staying with all of you in New Orleans. Your mom was the perfect hostess, to say the least. She made people feel so comfortable and at home, that's for sure. I remember for years after visiting, how I always asked my mom to fix "Aunt Martha's eggs"!! Everything your mother cooked was so delicious. It's obvious that lots of love was her main ingredient!! There is so much more to say about our stays at your house & her hospitality, but it would take too long. Just know the memories are so sweet and pleasant. Kids don't forget such things. And, I can only imagine the memories that your mother created for you. The pictures in the gallery say a million words. I see love, beauty, fun, humor, creativity and so many sides of your mom's personality. No doubt, she could be many different things to many different people. She had a "way" with others that not everyone has. And her warmth can be felt in every photo. I treasure our times with all of you and can never forget your mom's kindness. May God give you peace as you go through this difficult time. No matter how long a loved one lives, it's never long enough. Again, I am so sorry and my prayers are with your entire family. Yet, at the same time, I rejoice and celebrate the life of "Aunt Martha" (Marie). I celebrate because of the love and joy she spread. God bless you, my dear and beloved cousins. I love you all so much. ~Peggy
Dear Smith cousins,
I was so saddened to hear of your mother's passing. She will always be remembered as having such a beautiful, warm, smile. Our trip to New Orleans in the 60's will be a memory I will cherish. Having fun with cousins, and enjoying your mother's delicious fried eggs and fried tomatoes! You were lucky to have her for 93 years, and now she is at peace with God. Randy and my thoughts and prayers are with you. Love, Frances (Bootsie) and Randy Merrit
"Our condolences to members of Marie and Henry's family." We will always remember Marie's graciousness when we first met while joining AARP 4417, and they became good friends as well. She and Henry were always fun to be around and working with them for the Chapter was a pleasure. They not only served as Presidents, "They Were Chapter 4417 !!"
We will miss them dearly,
Naydine and Ralph Fiegel
