I wish we were there to say goodby to Uncle Melvin. I will always remember his kindness and wonderful little smile he always wore. He was a wonderful pattern of what a husband, father and Christian should be. He will be missed.

Uncle Melvin was the last of his siblings to die. He was a wonderful man and was always pleasant to be around. He loved his family and missed his beloved wife Dorothy every day from her death until he was able to join her. To our family, he was the last of a GREAT generation.

Mel was a wonderful man, I enjoyed getting to know him and take care of him at the Canton Christian Home. I enjoyed sitting with him and listening to his stories! He truly Loved the Lord, and always told everyone who he came in contact with How Great our God is! He will greatly be missed, its such a comfort to know that one day I will see him again! Such a amazing man and a wonderful family! Praying for you all during this time! I will miss you all!

Uncle Melvin was a man of men. He put all others first and loved God most of all. He was a wonderful husband, father, uncle and friend. We shall all miss him. We send our sympathies to all our cousins and all his family. Sincerely, Jim & Mary Ann Young
