I was so sorry to hear about Michael. I know how much he meant to all of you and your extended family. Michael always had a way with words and with children. When you were in a conversation with Mike he always made you feel that you were the only person in the room and that he truly cared about what you were saying. When I think about "Uncle Mike" it will be Michael surrounded by his nieces and nephews with the hugest grin on his face like there is no other place he would rather be, than with all of them. I can't imagine the hole his passing will leave in your lives and I hope you can find some comfort in knowing that he is up in Heaven with Bette and Bruce.

Thank you for sharing all of the wonderful photos of Michael. My heart and prayers go out to your family.

Love, Abbie Arneson Titze

Dear Allen Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Michael's death. The pictures in the photo gallery brought back so many happy memories of the young Allen and Higgins families enjoying each others company. I was glad I was able to get to know the "grown up Mike" a little more in North Platte in recent years. He has a wondeful spirit. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
Love, Annie Higgins Cox

Michael Clive Allen was an enterprising man who always had a smile for everyone. His incredible memory of dates and events was astounding. He had a way of listening carefully to others and making an incisive comment that summed up the situation. With a twinkle in his eye, he would mention a new find or an illusive fact that triggered the imagination. Mike, you are gone but not forgotten. Thanks for the fond memories…
