Milton Leslie "Les" Akers
Just sitting here thinking of you les. Wanted to talk. So will say hi in this note....love, cindy
Les was a co-worker of mine in Dallas and became a long time friend. We always kept in touch every 6 months or so and the last we spoke was Feb 2011. He was very influential in my life and career and am deeply sorry he is gone but very grateful for his friendship. Debbie-my prayers for your strength and peace Les - my smile and handshake to say I miss you.
We were neighbors with Les & Debbie for 28 years and in all that time they were the best neighbors anyone could ever ask for. Les was the consummate gentleman and when I was away my wife felt safe with him across the street. Les was one of the most even-tempered men I have known and was always upbeat and cheerful to talk to. He was a man of many talents and did everything he did to the best of his ability. We grew to love him and Debbie and it is hard to imagine him not being here .God Bless and comfort you Debbie and your family.
Les was a great friend. He had a good sense of humor and always so helpful. While working together he taught me a lot, which helped us both with our work loads. I will miss him. Debbie you gave him a great send off to his eternal home. My prayers are with you, Brandon & the rest of the family. God's Blessing and Peace as you work thru this trial.
My Uncle was great at everything he ever tried to do. Smart, inventive, a hard worker, loyal. Perhaps the highest compliment I can pay him is that he reminds me of his father, my grandfather. See ya at the gate Uncle Les!!
