I can honestly say I'm going to miss MSG Maurer and all his great energy and dedication to all of us. I remember all his hard work and effort in helping stand up the 136 MP BN, and going to our first annual training together. He was very unique and had a quick solution for every problem that would arise. He made everything fun and motivated all of his supply sergeants to work as a team. I miss our Airborne stories and his practical jokes... You are truly one of the best mentor/supervisors I've ever had... Rest in peace, Airborne!

I deployed with SFC Clifford Maurer and I considered him a friend. I am truly sorry for his family's loss and the world has lost a great Soldier and a great friend.
