Mr. Norm Stevens was a Scout Executive for the South Florida Council BSA. I had the great experience of working for him as a Camp Councilor at Snapper Creek Boy Scout,South Miami, FL (1954-1957). He was a great motivator!
Norm was my first Scoutmaster, and guided me through my boyhood years. I loved and respected him greatly. I was just starting to look for information about friends and ran across this sad news. He was a most wonderful role model for me and scores of other young men. Happy Scouting my friend!
I am sorry for your loss. Mr. Stevens sounds like someone who gave a great deal back to the community. I have two boys who both had wonderful Scouting experiences (one is an Eagle) and know the tremendous commitment and sacrifices that are made by Scouting leaders. My deepest sympathy to your family, Laurie Hindman
Marian, Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family at the time. So sorry for your loss. May God comfort you and give you peace. We have many precious memories of your family and ours together.
