My grandma Pat was a great woman and a loving grandmother. Words can never express the love I have for that woman or the sadness I feel that she is gone.

My Grandmother

My grandmother was a sweet, caring, intelligent, and all out beautiful person. She was always putting others before herself including me and my brother, helping me learn how to read and write and supporting everything I wanted to do all the way. I will never forget the days when I would stay at her house drinking cokes, eating pizza, and watching dinosaur documentaries that she recorded for me and Mason because we loved dinosaurs and at one time I wanted to be a paleontologist.

Grandma motivated me to work hard in school and look for the good in people like she always did. In my eyes my grandmother was the most compassionate and graceful person I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and I feel honored to be a part of her blood line. I only wish I got to see her before her passing. I regret not being there in person, but I send her my thoughts and prayers through God. I wish and hope that her kingdom is glorious in heaven. I love you Grandma Pat you will be more then missed.

Being a classmate of Patricia's twin sisters, and our fathers colleagues in the Newton City School system, I recently learned the mother of a friend with whom I share a pew at church, was a good friend of Patricia's in Newton. Her name is Nancy Chapman. My memories of Patricia were revisited, and I'm sorry to know of her passing. My thoughts are with her family.

Pat was a calm and quiet force in the lives of her grandsons Mason and Garrett and me. She was always ready to listen, provide encouragement and lend a hand. Not only was she the best Grandmother the boys could ever have dreamed of, Pat was a good friend to me. She will always hold a deep warm place in our hearts and will be more than missed. We love you Grandma Pat. Garrett, Mason, and Jeri Tucker
