Maryann and Family
As a child cousin Pauley and his parents were a constant in our family. My father and his father came to America together. As adults Pauley shared with us a rich history of both our families. He was a very warm man and such fun to listen to. So sorry for his passing. Cousin Linda Traina Frano (Joe Traina's youngest sister)
"Good night sweet prince;
and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest."
Paul Traina was one of the most "inner directed" people we have known and there are very few of those kind left. Because of his unshakeable moral vision and integrity, he always knew what was the right thing to do. During his EPA career, we often heard: "You can't do THAT". But, of course, he DID do THAT and countless thousands of people in the southeast are the better because of it.
And this was also characteristic of his personal life as well by his reaching out and supporting individuals and groups in need in the most unselfish way imaginable. Over nearly forty eight years, we have witnessed very many of his and Mary Ann's actions in this regard and have marveled at such generosity of spirit. Our family has shared many happy times with Paul, Mary Ann and their family. It is very hard for all of us to accept that Paul will no longer grace us with his presence. He is and will always be sorely missed by us, in the same manner as a very close relative which we all consider him to be. Our family sends our deepest condolences to Mary Ann and family.
For what it's worth, he was one of the best skiers we have ever known. But the fascination with the Madonna must have something to do with being Italian ya think?
Requiescat in pacem, Paul and God bless and welcome you.

Dear Traina Family,
Your Poppa was and always will be my Godfather. At two weeks old, fifty two years ago, he and my Godmother Mary Ann, took me to IHM to be baptized into the Catholic Faith. It was my pleasure to pray with all of you at the Mass celebration this week for the repose of his dear soul. May all of you find comfort in the love he leaves for each of you to share unafraid.
Dear Mary Ann and family,
My deepest sympathy on the loss of Paul. Paul was my mother; Eleanor Panepinto Gatto Ingoglia's first cousin. My Mom passed last year. I do not ever remember meeting your Paul but I do have great memories of this parents; Aunt Mary and Uncle Pete. They were such great people and I am sure when they raised Paul all of their wisdom and love formed the man you all loved. Sincerely Angela Gatto Leuthardt, Highland Village, TX
