My heart is heavy for you Pam-I have always loved the beautiful bond and friendship you and your Mom share. I know she will be so missed. I believe she is with Troy as she ascends on her new journey (and she will certainly keep him busy!!) Pearl is remembered as caring, funny, loving, classy, shining Pearl. I love you

Pam, I was so sad to hear about your beautiful, fun, loving mom! She was so cute, when I cleaned her house weeky, I would get there early and I could never catch her not all dolled up!! I would look at her and say 'pearl u r sooo beautiful' and she would look back at me with that cute smile and say ' U really think so! I had such great times with her and howie and all of us going to baseball game! Little Mary Eickson with her and howie, maybe playing cards! So many memories of a great lady!! She will be missed! Pearl was the best neighbor in so many ways! One was every year after canning season we were the happy recipients of her canned peaches and salsa. There was nothing better. It was easy to make a jar of either one a meal!

After she left her home I had the pleasure of visiting her weekly. We would discuss our families and what they were up to, and her favorite, I think, was what was going on with the City Council in Lynnwood. That always sparked great interest and good conversation.

Yesterday was the first day to not visit and it was a very empty feeling. I will miss her very much and our visits. She was a grand lady!

This message starts in Sept., 2011 when my wife Paula, her mom Lois Norby and I traveled to Seattle for a long needed visit. We spent time with Pearl and finally got to know most of her family (my cousins). What a timely visit. It was so great to see that time had only changed her physical appearance somewhat. Her attitude about life, her smile and her infectious laugh had not changed, even though she was in a wheel chair. Time claims us all eventually, but, I will be surprised if Aunt Pearl didn't pass on in Grand style. As we visited that Sept. I found out that she is a fighter. She took whatever was thrown at her in life and made the best of it. I know she is in a great place and we all are missing her very much. Time will help remove some of the sorrow and mostly good remembrances will prevail. God Bless to Robin, Tony, Pam, Rodney and all their families for your loss.
