Mr. Perry Milton Allard

Tuesday, October 19, 2010
Oh, Uncle Perry, I was just back in Portland in June and I wanted to get together and hear some more of your stories. I was a little too late.
I remember when I was little you were the one that would keep me from drowning myself in the deep pool at Jantzen Beach. You had a beautiful swan dive too. I think of you every time I get a chance to dive off a high dive like there used to be at Blue Lake.(stevenknessnj@yahoo.com)

"You don't often get the opportunity to meet the Grandparent's of your friends. I had the pleasure of Mr. Allard's company when I chose to ride along with his Granddaughter, Leeanna, for a visit (which I remember included cake!). He was a kindly gentleman who shared his fasinating woodcrafts and metalwork, as well as witty conversation. My deepest condolences to the family as I know he will be missed."

The time we spent together will always mean allot to me even though the time was short. I will always remember the way you loved woodworking, I think that every time you looked at something you where trying to figure out how you could make it out of wood. You were truly a master!

God Bless you,
Geri

Grandpa was the man with a million stories. He always had a story to tell if you gave him the time to share it with you. The wisdom he shared with everyone in the family will be with us forever. I take from him the knowledge that there is a proper tool for the job and that is the only one you should ever use & a job worth doing, is a job worth doing right.

When I shut my eyes and think of grandpa we dance, we smile and I always remember something that he taught me. I was lucky that he lived long enough that I might have even taught him something. God bless and keep you grandpa!

Love you, Leeanna
