Col. Phillip F. Sears USAF (Ret.)
My condolences to you and your families. Col. Sears was my commander and boss at Lowery AFB in the mid seventies. He was one of my favorite commanders. I have some memorable "memories" of him. A very good man who passed through my life. I enjoyed him very much.
Phil Sears--a man for all seasons. Loving husband and father. Dedicated civil servant and safety expert. Distinguished military leader and friend. Those of us who had the pleasure of crossing your path are better off for that experience.
I think of you and your bride Miss Janie having that five o'clock martini and it makes me smile. I'm honored to have worked with you and known you. Thank you for your service to us all.
Vaya con Dios, my friend.
I will always remember going to the schools in the community and teaching fire prevention with you. How the kids enjoyed listening to you. Thanks for teaching me. You will be missed.
