My husband and I met your Mom at Bloomington and what a grand lady!!! Playing golf with her was always a lesson, not only in the game of golf but in amazing personal qualities. A special person who I will always cherish.
Sorry to read of your mother's passing, but I enjoyed taking a minute to think of your family in Atlantic. I would have guessed your home was on Bryn Mawr, but the map says it was Crombie. What a great neighborhood for kids to grow up.
I still love to get to the golf course and only wish my game was as good as the quality of the junior golf instruction. I wish I could go back for a couple more lessons.
A guardian angel brought Phyl to mind today because I have not heard from her for decades - I took many golf lessons from her and admired her greatly during our five years in Blytheville, Arkansas. Barbie I remember and will forward the obit to son Scott who is back in Memphis, TN. "Blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted." MATT. 5:v.4.

Dear Dot and Barbe,
So sad to hear of your mother's death(via my sister Melva Smith of St. George). I feel very lucky to have known Phil. Because of her, I was able to enjoy some of the most beautiful, (and most often the most remote) places in Utah. She was always a joy to be with and I shall always cherish the time spent with her.
My sincere sympathy to you and the entire family.
I loved working with your mom she made me smile. She had such a big heart. I loved her stories and her drive for life
