Quincy Zane Edmonds 1945 - 2013

Quincy Zane Edmonds

Saturday, June 07, 2014
Our family was blessed when Zane's tour of duty took him to Albuquerque for a few years. Our daughters, Diane and Debby, were teens at the time and were so favorably impressed by Zane and Mary's influence. Some of our favorite memories include a couple of family houseboat vacations to Lake Powell. Zane caught, cleaned and ate his share of the many fish caught on those trips. He was adept at riding floating logs when our private lake rodeos were held. We still get a chuckle remembering how he ran across the desert barefooted when he and the ski boat driver (who shall remain nameless) misjudged a landing. He truly was a man of faith who treasured his family and friends. He will always remain in our hearts.

Zane and David were in first grade at Dutton together and through 12th grade at Pisgah, AL. They lived less than a mile apart. Toni knew him from 5th grade. One of our best memories was how hard he could hit a softball. Zane always had a smile for everyone.
Our prayers are with Zane's family. He was special and we will always remember him.

I have not seen Zane since high school, but was saddened to hear of his death. I have passed the information along to other classmates, Pisgah High School class of 1963. Your family is in our prayers.

In the very short time I was able to work with Quincy at Hearth Homes, it was readily evident that he was a true man of God. Our world was blessed by his compassion for others, and his loving nature will leave a lasting legacy. May our Lord Jesus continue to bless the lives of those touched by this fine man.
