Oh My! So very sad. I always hoped we would get to see Mr Baker one more time at the Parrot Cove but I guess he's saving us a seat in heaven. Dear Mr Baker, I will miss your always smiling face much and your "I pay, I go". Rest in peace.

As Ray would have said, "we were very good friends", I've been missing him since his move to Cal. and though I held out hope that "one day" I would get out to visit or he would return for a vacation, I think we both new it would never be. We shared many, many laughs. although he was an "Older friend", he refused to live in the past and wanted to live in the NOW! He didn't want to hang out with some of the people his age because they were always reliving 40-50 years ago. I hadn't called as often as I should have lately but I do know that the last time we spoke I had the chance to tell him that I Loved him. "Rest in peace"? Na, I'm sure Ray is handing Jesus a jug of water and saying " do that wine thing again.....

Mr . Baker and I met the first time when he offered to escort me to a Jimmy Buffet party at the Cove , when he heard my boyfriend was going out of town . After that night we became great friends ( 20 years ) His love for life , inspiration to thrive has encouraged me to push forward . I will miss his smile , hugs , laugh and humor ... Mr B the left side is always reserved for you . I love you !

I'll never forget Mr. B as I called him when we worked together at Mt Olivet and Caniff Service Centers for then Detroit Edison. I have fond memories at the "German Club" and "Vivio's". Rest in peace my friend.
