One of our fond memories is when Dick and Elaine visited us in Texas when our daughter Marie was 4 or 5, so Uncle Dick was close to 70 years old. We went to Guadalupe River State Park. Dick was the first one in the river water and the last one out. That's says a lot about how he lived whole life. Our prayers are with you Elaine and with your and Dick's family.
Being my great uncle, and a fellow enthusiast of all things technically oriented. Dick and Elaine have always been the most astonishing people I have ever had the chance to talk with growing up and when they would come to visit in Idaho. I always enjoyed lengthy conversations with uncle Dick and he was definitely one, myself and others in the family looked up to. Thanks for everything uncle Dick, and for all the encouragement to be an engineer. Well see again my friend...in time. RB
