To the Rothwell family, we will sorely miss the Colonel! Please accept our condolences.
I felt privilaged to be able to work with him on his auto-biography that I posted on the website www.hq224usmc.com honoring him and his men from World War 2. He is a true American Hero in the true sense of the word. My father Sgt Padell, looked up to the Colonel and was proud to serve him in the 4th Marine Division.
