Rita Wax

Rita always had a smile, and warm words. She and my mom Joan had many wonderful adventures together. When mom broke her foot 2 years ago, Rita visited her twice a day to cheer her up . She was a good friend, a passionate artist, and dedicated to helping others. She will be greatly missed.

Rita was a lovely, kind and generous soul. I'm fortunate our paths crossed even if only briefly.

Rita's support of the arts is evident in her annual sponsorship support for the Arts Council of Henderson County's largest multi-media visual art exhibition, Bring Us Your Best. Her generous sponsorship provided support in the form of prize money for award winning artists. We are grateful to have had Rita's support, in honor of Lynne and Ira Wax's memory, and even more thankful to have gotten to know Rita just a little bit. She truly was a kind and beautiful person, inside and out. I will always remember her warm smiles and quiet steadiness. Our condolences go out to her family and friends.

Rita was a dear friend. She set an example for us to cope through adversity. She was very active, becoming involved in many projects at Carolina Village. She was a great supporter of the arts and did lovely pottery. My condolences to her family. She will be missed by so many of us.

I was so sad to read of Rita's death. She was a long time quilting friend. She will be missed. Ruth Eaton.
