I ENJOYED WORKING WITH ROLAND IN THE EXTENSION SERVICE. HE WAS A GREAT PERSON AND WILL BE MISSED. CARL BRACK
As a boy, I can remember listening to the familiar voice of Roland Brooks on the Dixie Farm and Home Hour on WSB. Later, when I entered the radio and TV business, I had the opportunity to work with him. He was a great Georgian who loved his state, its great university and those who produced food and fiber.
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
Very few people leave behind a legacy comparable to that of Roland Brooks. It was nearly impossible to meet Roland without caring deeply for him, because it was so clear that he cared deeply for you. All his many accomplishments sprang from the constancy of that affection. I'm sorry I learned of his passing too late to attend his funeral. I look forward to seeing Roland at his best in eternity.
Roland was a true friend of agriculture and worked hard and most successfully at his profession. May he rest in peace.
