I am sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I remember him fondly as an ophthalmologist and also when visiting your family home as a teenager. I won't be able to attend the service as we are down south but will be thinking of you and your family tomorrow. All the best and I look forward to seeing you soon.
I was deeply saddened to learn of Ron's passing for it is the end of an era. My parents Roly and Nancy Jardine were good friends of the Bairds when they lived in Kitchener and the families roots went back to Rexton/Richibucto in New Brunswick and to Ron's father Harry and my great grandparents James and Mary Ann Jardine. My Mom used to dance with Ron when she attended Mount Allison.
My Mom Nancy passed away on February 7th, just shy of 97 years young and the sympathies of myself and the extended Jardine family go to Wendy and the family at this time. Try to remember who they were and are in your heart and that endings are merely new beginnings.
Our family -the Williams -lived next door to the Bairds on Frederick Street for many years and my parents Don and Ceil Williams were also medical colleagues of Rons.
Aside from being a highly competent and well-respected doctor Ron was truly one of life's gentlemen and his lovely wife was an equally distinctive lady.
It is with great sadness at the passing of an era that we learn of Ron's death. He was a wonderful man, the perfect neighbour and an exemplary doctor throughout his long career.
My brother Dick and my sister Liz and I join in offering Wendy our most sincere condolences. We will never forget the quiet wit and supportive interest demonstrated aptly by both your parents throughout the years. We shall not see their like again.
