Ronald Poudrier

Ron was a good brother-in-law. He was always friendly and welcoming to us if we went to his home or his timeshare. We thank him for his kindness.
When I, Gordon, was single, I visited Ron,Lorann and their children in Germany in 1973. I went with my mother and sister. We traveled to different cities he and Lorann had never visited. When we arrived in the city everyone liked to start walking the main streets to see the shops and restaurants. Ron liked to jump into the car and drive around to familiarize himself with the main streets and how they connected to the Autobahn(main highways). Because of this activity he called himself "eagle beak". If anyone in the family questioned that he was going the right way, he would ask, "You doubt eagle beak?"
We will miss you, Ron, and someday when it is our turn to pass from this earth, we will look forward to seeing you again in the Lord's presence.

Ron was an outstanding gentleman, one who could converse on many topics, also a reader, I remember a Seniors' trip when we were on the bus. He sat close by and was enjoying his new toy-a Kindle.

After he had so many health issues, I didn't see much change in his outward demeanor or attitude--still the positive guy. He added to our Sunday morning bible classes with his deep insights.

Mike and I were with him alone, until Lorann arrived, one morning and he was so vocal about his grandkids and his flying career. When Lorann did arrive, the banter began between the two. It was precious to hear that many years into the marriage, they had great memories and shared some with us.

I always wish I had seen more of my Poudrier side of the family. May Uncle Ron be welcomed in joy with his family reunion who has already passed before us. Aunt Lorann, Scott, Addie, Chloe, Deanna and the rest of his immediate family may you find peace in knowing how much he loved you all.

Ron had been in our home Bible study group for several years, thus we knew him very well. Most importantly, we knew his heart and his relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We saw him bravely struggle for the past couple of years with many health issues. All through those months, Ron never complained; he never lost sight of, nor lost his faith in God. What a blessing it is for Ron to be free from his earthly pain to now be in the presence of his heavenly Father. Now, God continues to show His compassion by holding Lorann by her right hand.

As we celebrate and remember our veterans this week, it's appropriate that we also remember that Ron served honorably over 20 years in the U. S. Air Force; now Ron can eternally serve painlessly in heaven.
Thank you Jesus.
