Rosemary Jameson Allebach, 90, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2012.
The older daughter of Dr. J.E. Jameson and his wife Elaine, Rosemary was born in Ireland on July 13, 1922 and raised in Moreton-in-Marsh, England. She was sent to the United States as a young woman in 1939 because of German bombing in England. Rosemary was married to the late Dr. Newton Allebach, USN on December 23, 1944 in New York City. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister and brother-in-law, Bridget and Colonel Reginald Lee, RAF, of Stow-on-the-Wold, England.
Rosemary was actively involved with the Ladies Golf Association of Pensacola Country Club, Christ Church Parish, Pensacola Symphony Orchestra, Pensacola Opera, and many other civic organizations throughout the years.
Rosemary is survived by her children, Jana and Hank Graves of Pensacola, Katie Green of Pensacola, Midge and Jeff Hirsch of Houston, and Jim and Cathy Allebach of Pensacola; her grandchildren, Whitney Graves of Atlanta, Yancey and Robert Towne of Portland, Oregon, Dr. Alex Hirsch of Boston, Elaine Hirsch of Dallas, and John Jameson (Jack) Allebach of Pensacola; one great-grandson, Korbin Towne of Portland; one niece, Siobhan and Michael Johnson of Chipping Norton, England; and several British cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Pensacola Opera, American Heart Association, or Christ Church Parish. The family wishes to thank the staff of Willow Brook Court Skilled Care Center of Azalea Trace.
The memorial service will be held at 1:00 on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Christ Church Parish, Pensacola Florida. The family will receive guests in the Parish Hall afterwards.
