We will not be able to come to the funeral, but we know it will be a great celebration. May God's grace abound and His peace endure, even as Sam would have it. Praises to our eternal King.

Dear Patti, Teresa, and all the Bass and McClelland Families,
Thank you for posting so many wonderful photos of my fun-loving Uncle Sam and for the enlightening summary of his life. I really wanted to come and be with you, but this wonderful website makes me feel a lot closer to you all. From my earliest memories of swinging in a tire swing at his house in Nashville to listening to his fascinationg stories of his helping his family as they crossed over the Rocky Mts. in a covered wagon when he was only five years old, Uncle Sam always entertained me. I always looked forward to having fun with him whenever he came to visit or I went to visit him. He always had a big smile, twinkling eyes, and a warm hug for me. He and Aunt Jane were always role models to me of Christian parents. They especially touched my heart with their support for my daughter, Angela, when she and her husband started their mission work in Hungary. We also enjoyed visiting with Uncle Sam and Aunt Patti in Houston and Michigan whenever we got a chance. Our thoughts and prayers are with you,

Beverly and Virgil Knox
