Jane--I'd come across a 60's era letter--charming and kind just like you--as I downsized and was later so sorry to hear of your challenge and loss. I wish peace and lovely memories for you and your family.
With affection, An Indiana dorm roommate, Barbara Bennett Haunton
I just learned today, March 20, 2013, of Stu's passing. I knew Stu from our first days together at the Indiana Daily Student; we were part of an amazing crew who spent our lives on the phone and at the keyboard, telling stories for others to read and hear. Stu, the Alumni of the Shack will never forget you; R.I.P, good buddy.
I just saw this on Stu and it saddened me. He had a great family and did so much with his life. He will be missed by all in the Nashville and Columbus communities and at Nashville United Methodist Church.
God bless him and all of his precious family.
Pastor Wade Compton
Stu was always larger than life, and I so enjoyed working under his leadership (when I wasn't terrified of him!). A lovely man who made me a much better reporter. My sincere condolences.
