Our deepest sympathy to Fr. Tom's family. Fr. Murphy, we feel so blessed to have been your friends and thankful that you married us. You will always hold a special place in our hearts. You will be missed on Earth but we trust you are having a grand ol' time with the Lord. God bless. - Erin & Jordan Linvile
I had the privilege of knowing Fr Tom when we were in the seminary together in Rome. Tom was truly a great guy and a lot of fun to be with. I have many great memories of The Murph, as he was known at school, but two come to mind. We would walk back from class together every Saturday and Murph insisted we stop at a particular bar along the way and have a beer before returning for lunch. He called it our pagan ritual. Also, we spent a week together at the Benedictine monastery in Einsiedeln, Switzerland, the mother house of St Meinrad Archabbey here in Indiana. We enjoyed great Benedictine hospitality and our coffee shnapps in the afternoon in town reading the English newspaper. Murph, you will be missed but we will see each other again.
Deaest Tom: You were and will always be not only a Brother Priest but a true friend with whom I had the honor of sharing four wonderful years with you in Rome. Your guidance and support I shall never ever forget and we are all so grateful for the blessing of your Life and your Priestly Ministry. I shall miss you deeply as we all will but I know that with you there is another Saint in Heaven playing Tennis with St. Pete and the 12! Above all your immortal words that always kept us in that positive move I shall pass on..."Repp...It's ALL GOOD!". Have that Totty for me and all of us Tom. You will always be with us to pray for us and guide us and help prepare a place for us in His Etenal Kingdom. You can truly rest in peace now Tom! "Firmum est Cor Meum". Chris
