Dad, mere words aren't enough to express my feelings of deep love and respect for the life you gave me. I Thank GOD for giving me such a wonderful father. Dad the best way I can honor your memory is to NEVER forget ALL you taught me. As I have grown up, so many times through out my life your words have come to my mind that helped me thru stormy times. As youngsters we tend to not appreciate why our parents do as they do, say what they say, then one stormy day as I navigate thru positive and negative situations and it looks like tough seas are ahead your words come to my heart and steer me straight making it through the storm. For your wisdom you imparted upon me I will preserve your memory thru teaching my children and grandchildren as you did, with kindness and a gentle spirit that made me feel safe and secure.
Dad you are my rock in stormy times. Heaven has one more bright shining star in the great expanse. Everytime I look up in the sky and see all those shining stars I will see you and our ancestors smiling back at me and find immense comfort in that. DAD, now I know why the stars shine.
Love you so
Miss you even more
Your Eldest Daughter

Dad, words can not express how much I miss you. Through out my life you have been my rock. You taught me well dad and I will never forget what you taught me as a child and more so as an adult I value and hold on to your teachings even more. I will always remember all we talked about and hold on tight to the words of love and family and not to let the world take us apart. You so protected me growing up and the best way to honor you is to continue the path you set for me by teaching me right and wrong and to value and take care of our family. I will raise my family in honor of you dad and teach them all you taught me. I love you dad and miss you more than mere words can say. Heaven has a bright light shining now and every time I look at the stars and see all the shining lights up there I see you smiling back at me. I know why stars shine now dad.
Dad, It's been a few days now since you left us, I miss you more than words can say! I want to thank you for giving me a wonderful life. Your legacy as a family man and a POW will live on in my heart forever. I want to thank you for being with my mom for 60 years, not very often does daughter get to brag that she has parents that are still together but even more so for 60 years. You taught me many things in my lifetime and even now in this time of my life I reflect back on you to find my answers. I forget sometimes but I promise you I will try harder to be the person you raised me to be. That is to be true to yourself and others, respectful, honest and to be proud and hold my head high. I remember when you told me those words. Thank you dad for being the most awesome dad a daughter could ever have. I love you with my whole being and I will always carry you in my heart!
